About the Journal
Focus and Scope
IJTMRPH is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes original research, review articles, commentaries, letters to the editor, and policy and practice papers on all aspects of translational or applied medical research and public health.
Mission
The journal's mission is to disseminate sound research that presents the potential for translatability and applicability, ensuring widest dissemination and maximum impact.
Vision
To become a leading and authoritative source and venue for the dissemination of high-quality research and policy analyses that can be translated into life-saving interventions or policies for the improvement of human and populations health.
Our Niche
For several decades, leading scientists, researchers, and institutions across the world have made innovations and discoveries to prevent disease, mitigate disability, prolong quality lives, and improve health outcomes. Sadly, very few of these innovations are actually translated into life-saving therapies for individual and public and population health. For example, Dr. Francis Collins, the Director of the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH), once told the U.S. Congress that ..."we have witnessed unprecedented advances in basic and fundamental science; however, the translation of research discoveries into treatments and interventions that improve human health in many instances is a slow and failure-prone process." There are very few avenues for publishing translational and applied public health research. IJTMRPH aims to fill the gap. We will provide a robust platform for the exchange and dissemination of studies with the greatest potential for translation into interventions to improve population and public health.

Publication Schedule
The International Journal of Translational Medical Research and Public Health (IJTMRPH) publishes continuously throughout the year. Accepted papers are published immediately and are catalogued into one volume and two issues: Issue 1 for papers published in January – June; and Issue 2 for papers published in July to August.
Indexing and Abstracting
The journal will continue to pursue opportunities for content abstracting and indexing (A&I). We recognize the importance of indexing researchers' published papers in major A&I services and we are determined to meet these expectations. The journal has been set up to meet the eligibility criteria for acceptance by reputable indexing organizations, including scientific rigor, academic leadership, technological capabilities, peer-review, etc.
Abstracting & Indexing Strategy:
Our primary goal is to focus archiving and indexing at major scholarly services beginning with PubMed/PubMed Central (PMC) and Medline at the U.S. National Library Medicine of the National Institues of Health, Bethesda, Maryland, USA., and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). Indexing in other commercial A&I services will be pursued as soon as the journal becomes eligible. Once accepted for inclusion in PubMed/PMC, all journal contents will be deposited and permanently archived in PMC.
U.S. Library of Congress
As a requirement for the maintenance of IJTMRPH International Standard Serial Numbers, all copies of IJTMRPH are submitted frequently to the serial section of the U.S. Library of Congress (LOC).
