El desempeño de la docencia y su desafío frente a la Educación Virtual en profesores de tres universidades de Chiriquí, Panamá
This research aims to determine the challenges faced by university teachers of Chiriqui in relation to virtual education and their performance on it. In order to achieve this objective, the conditions demanded in the performance of university teaching were defined and the types of virtual tools used for virtual teaching at university level were investigated.

Also, the resources used to achieve the competences of the classes given to the university student were specified. The study had a quantitative approach with a descriptive scope and a non-experimental transversal design. The simple random sample was constituted by 39 teachers who teach different classes in three universities of Chiriqui.
The results demonstrated that, within the characteristics that the professors must have in their performance when giving their chairs, it was to have dominion of their chairs and to stay updated about the changes that appear in virtual education. According to the results, the most widely used tools are virtual platforms such as the Classroom, followed by Meet. On the other hand, it was also found that teacher used, to a large extent, video conferencing and WhatsApp.
