Hence, the importance to address thinking skills from an early age in boys and girls, because they are essential for the integral formation of the individual. This study focuses on children of four and five years old who attend the Family and Community Centers of Initial Education (CEFACEI), Non Formal Education program, area of ​​Panama Norte; the objective is to describe the learning that they acquire in these two areas, due to the great importance that it has as a tool that enables the resolution of problems and the posing of situations that generate knowledge at a general level. The study is based on an experimental design, with an instrument application at the beginning and end of the academic year to know how they enter and leave the center. The first instrument is applied at the beginning of the school year, then a resource box is given to the teacher-promoter and in the end the same instrument is applied to the area of ​​mathematics and communication. High and low percentages are obtained from the schools intervened, so it is concluded that teachers require training to strengthen the teaching of mathematics and language, since at the highest levels a high rate of failure prevails.
