Lumen Veritatis

Resumo

O presente artigo, ao glosar alguns versículos do prólogo do Evangelho de São João, apresenta Cristo enquanto luz, vida e verdade, que se revela aos homens submersos nas trevas da ignorância e do pecado, e através dessa revelação, eleva-os à contemplação dos misteriosos e infinitos horizontes sobrenaturais da fé. Daí tornar-se patente o quanto é apropriado o título “Luz da verdade” para uma revista acadêmica cujo objetivo principal é ser o eco da mensagem da salvação, um reflexo da “Lux Vera” (Jo 1, 9). /// This article, elucidating certain verses of the prologue of the Gospel of St. John, presents Christ as light, life and truth, who reveals himself to men submerged in the darkness of ignorance and of sin, and through this revelation, elevates them to the contemplation of the mysterious and infinite supernatural horizons of faith. It thus becomes apparent how the title “Light of Truth” is appropriate for an academic magazine whose principal objective is to be the echo of the message of salvation; a reflection of the “Lux Vera” (John 1:9).
