A Vida Consagrada: Dom do Espírito Santo outorgado à Igreja

Resumo

Este artigo aborda a vida consagrada, ou estado de perfeição, enquanto realidade jurídica na Igreja e efeito da ação renovadora do Espírito Santo, que suscita carismas como resposta aos problemas de cada época. A doação total ao Senhor feita pelos consagrados torna necessária uma análise dos votos segundo o Direito Canônico, sua classificação e dimensão teológica. Ora, o Código consigna que a autoridade eclesiástica tem o dever não só de aprovar formas estáveis de vida segundo os conselhos evangélicos, mas também de cuidar, naquilo que lhe compete, para que os institutos cresçam e floresçam segundo o espírito dos fundadores, garantindo assim o exercício da necessária autonomia, a fim de preservar as características próprias ao carisma. É com esse fundo de quadro que se aborda a Parte III do Livro II do CIC/83, dedicada aos Institutos de Vida Consagrada e às Sociedades de Vida Apostólica. /// This article treats of religious life or the state of perfection, as a juridical reality in the Church and the effect of the renewing action of the Holy Spirit that brings forth charisms as a response to the problems of each age. The total giving to the Lord made by consecrated persons establishes the need for an analysis of the vows according to Canon Law, their classification and theological dimension. The Code consigns that the ecclesiastical authority has the duty, not only to approve stable forms of living out the evangelical counsels, but also to oversee, insofar as its responsibility lies, that the institutes grow and flourish according to the spirit of their founders, thus ensuring the exercise of the necessary autonomy in order to preserve the characteristics proper to the charism. It is against this backdrop that Part III of Book II of CIC/83 dedicated to Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life is expounded.
