The present study shows the results of a research focused on the perception of teachers from the Universidad Gerardo Barrios in El Salvador of the expectations and reality about learning through the massive open courses online (MOOC).

The MOOC is the English acronym of Massive Online Open Courses, i.e. it is a distance learning course, accessible on the internet to which anyone can register and practically have no limit of participants.  The results obtained show a good acceptance by teachers of the use of massive and open online courses.
