In general, the use of virtuality during the teaching-learning process in education has spread worldwide due to its potential and contribution to improving communication and interaction between students and teachers. However, the persistence of difficulties in its implementation in teaching is still observed, mainly related to the lack of skills of teachers.

Abstract

Undoubtedly, teachers have an essential role in the inclusion and integration of technologies.  That is where the need for identifying and defining the pedagogical functions of the online teacher. 

The aim is to analyze the virtual classroom and, specifically, the functions of teachers in these environments through this investigative work.
