La representación mitológica en la obra del pintor Osvaldo De León Kantule

This article analyzes and decode the work of the Panamanian painter of the Kuna ethnic group Oswaldo De León Kantule. It also explore the myths, rites, traditions and songs that are the essence and what underlies his art. In this way, Kantule captures his own heritage with images, thus recovering the tradition of his ancestors and contributing to preserve fundamental aspects of his culture.

Abstract

His work is built with figures, characters and mazes that tell us a battle, a myth, a song or symbolize the union of man and mother earth. It shows us the traditional kuna world and brings us closer to its culture.
