Análisis del Teléfono Inteligente “SMARTPHONE” como Recurso Didáctico en el Centro Regional Universitario de Bocas del Toro (CRUBO), 2018
The study was developed with students and teachers of the Degree in Primary Education of the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the Regional University Center of Bocas del Toro, with the aim of describing the use or not of the "Smartphone" as a teaching strategy; as well as characterize the applications used, identify the methods, techniques and procedures applied; and to analyze the attitudes of teachers regarding the incorporation or not of ICT Information and Communication Technology, in their didactic performance.

The research was conducted under a mixed approach. To collect the data, a questionnaire was applied to 34 teachers and 231 students. The exposed results reveal that the most representative gender is the feminine one. It is evident that teachers are digital immigrants (76,5%) versus native digital students (83,5%). The availability of the Smartphone with Internet access by teachers was found (97,1%) with activation plan by contract (55.9%); and students (69,7%) with prepaid activation plan (83,6%). Both teachers and students use the Smartphone to receive and make calls, just like WhatsApp. The teaching resources most used by teachers are computers (82,4%) and multimedia projector (61,8%). The findings indicate that teachers do not use the applications of their "Smartphone" as a teaching resource and that the conference or exposition prevails within their techniques (67,6%), the method is cooperative learning (50,0%), between the activities are the workshops, the group exhibitions and group work.
