Abstract

INTRODUCTION: Xanthogranulomatous cholecystitis (XGC) is a rare disease associated with focal or multifocal chronic inflammation of gall bladder wall and gall bladder carcinoma. Xanthogranulomatous cholecystitis is considered to be a type of chronic cholecystitis and occasionally mimics gall bladder cancer. We report a case of 60 year-old-female with an incidental diagnosis of xanthogranulomatous cholecystitis at the Northwest General Hospital, Peshawar.
